What every 25 year-old should know
• Everybody Got Their Own Timeline
Just a year ago, I always try to find the shortest path to success. I always compare myself to my peers, my family members, or the others, who later on, I realize that they didn’t really matter much to me and my life.
Before, I am trying hard to fulfill other people's expectations of me, but never for myself. You might not rich now, and is okay. You might not get married soon, and still single, and it’s okay too.
Everybody got their own timeline, and the only question that you need to ask yourself is:
‘If I am keeping my lifestyle as it is, would I be happy and satisfied with my life?”
If the answer is no, then you need to keep moving and find something that might interest and enrich your life. If the answer is yes, you are already on the right path, keep going.
• Honesty, Responsibility, and Professionalism
It’s almost identical to the pointer number one. Don’t you ever try to cheat success, by trying to find a shortcut. If somebody offers you a way to get rich/successful quick, without any effort. Be skeptical. It might be a Ponzi scheme or just a fraud in general.
The only way to build up a roadblock for your future success in by keeping your honesty and professionalism intact all the time. Be a man of your word, be responsible, and always keep your integrity, it will open so many future opportunities for you!
Learn how to dress professionally, always try to learn a new skill, learn how to talk politely, and catch on social cues. Build up your network, portfolio, and reputation, and don’t forget to enjoy the process, it’s a fun part!
• You Are Not Getting Any Younger, Don’t Take Time and Your Family For Granted
You are not old, but time is really your most valuable resource. You still got time to explore a lot of new things and build your dream. You are the one in control of your time, you can choose to have fun, and waste your time, or be disciplined and dedicate your time to build your craft.
